During this time the populations of Whitetail and Black Bear have been growing in number and size to their fullest potential making for potentially one of the most productive hunt territories in the Province.

Some of my best memories were made in the bush alongside my dad and brother, learning the traditions, patience, and respect that come with the hunt. Those early experiences sparked a passion that has stayed with me ever since. Today, I’m proud to share that passion with others by helping hunters experience the same excitement and appreciation for the outdoors that I grew up with. Whether it’s chasing a mature whitetail or a big black bear, there’s nothing better than being in the forest and helping someone create a hunting memory they’ll never forget.

Mistatim Outfitting is located on the forest fringe of East Central Saskatchewan, near Hudson Bay. Our hunting territory combines farmland edges, forest, bush, and natural wildlife corridors that provide excellent habitat for Saskatchewan Whitetail Deer and Black Bear.
Mistatim Outfitting specializes in guided Saskatchewan Whitetail Deer hunts and Black Bear hunts. Both hunts take place in a large, lightly hunted territory where we use scouting, trail cameras, bait sites, tree stands, and ground blinds to help hunters pursue mature trophy animals.
Saskatchewan produces excellent Whitetail Deer because of its combination of agricultural food sources, forest cover, harsh winters, and strong northern genetics. At Mistatim Outfitting, our territory has experienced extremely low hunting pressure for nearly 10 years, allowing bucks to mature and reach their potential.
A typical mature Whitetail buck in our territory can weigh approximately 250–300 pounds, with antlers commonly scoring in the 135–175-inch range. Mature bucks can exceed 175 inches, with the potential for exceptional animals approaching or exceeding 200 inches.
Our hunting territory has experienced extremely low hunting pressure for nearly 10 years. This has allowed Whitetail Deer and Black Bear to grow with considerably less hunting disturbance and gives mature animals the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Yes. Our Whitetail and Black Bear hunts are fully guided, with guides assisting with transportation to and from hunting locations, stand selection, animal recovery, and trophy preparation. Our goal is to provide hunters with a well-organized Saskatchewan hunting experience from arrival through departure.
We maintain low hunter-to-guide ratios so our guides can provide personal attention throughout the hunt. Whitetail hunts operate with approximately two hunters per guide, while Black Bear hunts also have a maximum of two hunters per guide.
Yes. Mistatim Outfitting offers both rifle and archery hunting for Whitetail Deer and Black Bear. Archery hunters are positioned approximately 30–35 yards from the bait, while rifle hunters can generally expect shots in the 75–110-yard range, depending on the hunting location.
Hunters can choose between tree stands and ground blinds, depending on the hunt and hunter's preference. Our guides select locations based on scouting information, trail-camera activity, animal movement, and the conditions during the hunt.
We use a combination of pre-season scouting, trail cameras, bait sites, and knowledge of local wildlife movement. Our Whitetail operation maintains approximately 20 active bait sites and uses 15 Tactacam trail cameras, while our Black Bear operation maintains multiple active bait sites and monitors trail-camera activity to identify the most productive hunting locations.
Hunt packages include fully guided hunting, accommodations, meals, transportation to and from Saskatoon International Airport, and trophy preparation/meat transport preparation. Whitetail hunt packages also include applicable tags and taxes. Black Bear tags and taxes are not included in the Black Bear package price.
